Bible Stories for Kids: Jesus brings a dead girl back to life

Something strange and wonderful happened when a man named Jairus (Ja-eye-rus) came to Jesus one day. He was the leader of a Jewish synagogue or “church” in his own town.
Jairus fell down at Jesus’ feet and begged him to come to his house, for his only child was dying. She was a young girl, only 12 years old. As Jesus went with him, people crowded around him to see and hear him.
While they were on the way, a messenger came from the house of Jairus who said, “It is too late. Your daughter is dead. Do not let the Master go to any more trouble.”
But when Jesus heard this, he told Jairus, “Do not be afraid. Just believe, and she will be made well…
